Police: Man Hospitalized After Being Shot in Thigh in Parkville

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The shooting of a man in the Parkville area Monday afternoon is under investigation, authorities said.

The victim was walking along an alleyway off of Pelhamwood Road at some point when he noticed three people following him, one of them carrying a gun, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

That's when the victim took off running, but he was wounded by one of several shots fired by the gunman, he told investigators.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the thigh, according to police. He is expected to survive.

So far, no arrests have been made.
