Garrett Downing Reviews Ravens As Training Camp Approaches
Garrett Downing from BaltimoreRavens.com joined Norris and Davis to talk about the players ready to go for training camp this week.
Overall, the PUP list is much smaller than anticipated after the 5-11, injury-riddled season last year. So besides the six players on the list, everyone else, including the Ravens eleven draft picks are left fighting for a spot on the roster as training camp begins this week.
With veteran players like Flacco and Pitta ready to play and likely locked in on the roster, Downing says, "What I am more interested to see is how some of the young guys factor into these battles."
For example, the wide receiver position hosts two local favorites, Campanaro and Reynolds, both vying for a spot."Reynolds to me is such a wild card. The Ravens think he has a whole lot of potential, but it's still a position change," said Downing.
