BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Deputies have two suspects in custody after a New Windsor woman was found dead in Carroll County on Monday night, authorities said.

A call about a fight led investigators to a home on Dennings Road about 5:20 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Office. By the time deputies arrived, two suspects had taken off.

The suspects were later found and taken into custody.

About three hours later, the 35-year-old victim, who had injuries from a "sharp edged weapon," was found slain near the corner of Old Washington and Muller roads, deputies said.

The suspects, who remain in custody, will be named if they're formally charged.
