Police: Man Stabs Pregnant Girlfriend In Montgomery County

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Police in Montgomery County say an 18-year-old was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his pregnant girlfriend on Wednesday.

The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Upton Street.

Police say the 19-year-old woman, who was several months pregnant, was stabbed several times.

The motive behind the stabbing is still being investigated.

The woman was transported to an area hospital where she remains in serious condition.

According to police,the suspect--who is not being identified--was arrested around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday after getting off a bus at Palmira Lane and Dauphine Street in the Aspen Hill area.

Police are unable to confirm if the suspect is the father of the expected baby.
