Man Accused Of Breaking Into Neighbor's Home, Taking Panties

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- An Annapolis man is accused of breaking into his neighbor's home and taking her panties.

Robert Hannon, 70, was arrested on Friday after he was caught on camera sifting through his neighbor's underwear drawer.

The woman told police she set up a surveillance camera in her bedroom, after noticing a bracelet of hers had gone missing. The camera was connected to her cell phone.

Weeks later, while she was in Boston, the woman caught Hannon breaking into her apartment and removing lingerie from her dresser. Hannon is the head of Anne Arundel Economic Development Corp.

The woman turned the footage over to the Annapolis Police Department, and Hannon was placed under arrest.

He now faces multiple charges, including first-degree burglary and fourth-degree theft.
