66-Year-Old Cyclist Injured In Hit-And-Run, Police Investigating

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — After a 66-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run, Baltimore Police are trying to identify the driver.

It happened around 12:55 p.m. on August 15 in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Investigators say they arrived to the scene to find the victim lying on the sidewalk with serious injuries. He was later transported to Shock Trauma.

The learned that victim had been riding a bike northbound when a gray four-door sedan, possibly a Infiniti, traveling southbound, hit him, dislodging him from the bike.

They say the car continued southbound and left the area. Even with multiple citywide broadcasts, it was not located or identified.

Police believe it had War or 1812 license plates.

Anyone with information regarding this hit and run accident are asked to call Crash Team investigators at 410-396-2606.

“The learned that victim had been riding a bike northbound when a gray four-door sedan, possibly a Infiniti, traveling southbound, hit him, dislodging him from the bike.”

That’s got to be the most poorly written sentence I’ve ever seen in a news article.
