Woman Thought She Was Torching Her Ex-Boyfriend's Car In Florida

Remember this arsonist caught on tape last weekend torching a car? She's in custody now. Thanks to all who called and wrote in with various tips. Her name is Carmen Chamblee and she has been charged with second-degree arson and will be booked in to the Pinellas County Jail. A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted her this morning just south of Clearwater.

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WJZ)—A woman is arrested in Florida after she torched a vehicle she believed was her ex-boyfriend's, according to CBS affiliate WTSP.

The Clearwater Police Department says Carmen Chamblee was caught on video as she set fire to the car last week. Moments after setting the fire she fled the scene on a bike.

Police say over the weekend she was arrested on charges of second degree arson.

Chamblee told detectives during her arrest that she thought the car belonged to her ex-boyfriend. She was wrong.
