Tall Ship Scheduled to Arrive in Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Coast Guard Cutter Eagle tall ship is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore.

The ship will dock at the Inner Harbor for two days this weekend and will be open for public tours beginning Sunday.

The Eagle will then head to the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore.

The ship has been used as a classroom for Coast Guard Academy cadets, who received navigation, engineering and seamanship training aboard the vessel.

The Eagle is the only ship of its kind in United States government service, and has served as a training platform for Coast Guard officers since 1946.
