Owner of Fat Daddy's Crabs Charged With Murder Of Employee

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The owner of Fat Daddy's Crabs in Randallstown has been charged with the deadly shooting of an employee that happened on August 5.

Police say officers responded to the 9000 block of Liberty Road for a report of a person who had fallen around 6 p.m. that day.

When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Daniel Anthony Lyles of Parkville suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. He was declared dead at the scene.

According to their investigation, Lyles worked at Fat Daddy's. After being involved in an argument with 44-year-old Kresslin Vondez Clark Sr., the restaurant's owner, Clark shot him, they say.

Clark told police that Lyles came toward him and threatened to kill him while reaching into his waistband. A folding knife was later found clipped to the front area of Lyles's belt.

On September 7, Clark was indicted by a Baltimore County Grand Jury for second-degree murder and related charges. He was released on $250,000 bail.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit.
