'Cry Baby' Actress 'Hatchet Face' Kim McGuire Dies

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Kim McGuire, star of John Waters' iconic film "Cry Baby" has died. She played Mona 'Hatchet-Face' Malnorowski alongside Johnny Depp and Ricki Lake in the classic 1990 movie.

Kim's husband, Gene, tells TMZ Kim fell ill earlier this past week and was taken to a Florida hospital Tuesday. Gene says docs discovered Kim had a bad case of pneumonia and put her in the ICU. However, Kim didn't take well to treatment and she went into cardiac arrest twice, passing away at the age of 60 on Wednesday September 14.

"Cry Baby" costars Traci Lords and Ricki Lake posting love for McGuire since her passing.

McGuire's most well-known role was in "Cry-Baby" but she also made appearances on TV. She later went on to become an attorney.
