Jeremy Conn: I’m Not Giving Up On The Orioles

I have received so many texts, e-mails and phone calls from people that have given up on the Baltimore Orioles. I am not in that group.

The Orioles currently sit a half game out of the Wild Card race and have nine games left. They have three home games against the Arizona Diamondbacks and two road series against the Yankees and the Blue Jays.

The offense doesn’t look great right now, but they have the worst pitching staff in the majors coming to Camden Yards.

I say at the beginning of every sports season, that as a fan I only hope to have a team to root for down the stretch and hopefully into the post season. We have way too many “fair weather” fans.

There is nothing wrong with being upset or even disliking the way the team is playing. It’s also perfectly ok to criticize them, but for people to say they are done with them is absolutely awful. Those same people are the ones that will be back on the bandwagon when they get into the postseason.
