Mancini Is The First Oriole To Homer First Two Major League Hits

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- They don't call him 'Boom Boom' for nothing!

Trey Mancini is the first Orioles player to homer for his first two Major League hits.

Mancini hit a three-run home run in the third inning against the Boston Red Sox at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

With two home runs in the past three games, he accounted for four of the team's eight runs.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to put the Orioles back in the game as they experienced a sweep by the Red Sox and lost ground in the AL East standings.
