The Norris & Long Show Best Of - Week Of October 1st

This week's edition of the Norris & Long Show best of includes interviews with Clifton Brown of Comcast Sportsnet Mid Atlantic on the Ravens win over the Jaguars, Ralph Russo on the AP Top 25 poll in college football, and Eddie Matz ESPN's MLB Insider on the Wild Card race in the AL.

CLIFTON BROWN

Cliff started off by talking about fans complaining after a 3-0 start and saying it looks ugly saying "I don't see how you can, nobody in the Ravens locker room was grumpy after the game...they know these games will add up at the end, we all knew the front end of schedule was easier then the back end."

When asked about what has made the Ravens secondary performs so much better this year Cliff said "I do think Leslie Frazier has made a difference, and I think Lardarius Webb has helped too...Weddle his leadership back there, you just don't see mental mistakes from the Ravens this year."

EDDIE MATZ

Matz started off talking about the Orioles win over the Blue Jays to pull within one game of the top wild card spot by using the long ball saying, "that was more than living. That was like good, clean, hallof fame living, but it's scary. It's a tight rope walk...with the Kim home run it was a nine pitch at bat, he was just trying to stay alive."

When asked about the Orioles pitching coming through last night and a good performance by Chris Tillman Eddie said, "yeah that's the glass half full ready for the glass half empty, Tillman frightened the be-Jesus out of me yesterday'...his average fastball velocity was 91 yesterday, he hasn't been that low since 2009."
