Orioles pitcher Kevin Gausman joined Scott and Jeremy live from Toronto hours before the American League Wild Card Showdown.

Kevin Gausman started the season on the disabled list, but was able to make 30 starts this season. Last Sunday, Gausman was the one who secured a win for the Orioles against the Yankees. Gausman said, “I woke up and something about knowing that I had the chance to kind of ‘punch our ticket’ was really exciting. I wanted the game to start at 12 p.m., I was ready to go.”

Chris Tillman will take to the mound tonight in the Wild Card playoff game and Gausman says, “we feel confident any time he’s on the mound.”

As for the rest of the guys, Gausman said, “we had a pretty laid back, loose workout yesterday and you could tell everyone was very focused. We knew what we needed to do in the last two weeks of the season to get to this point, and we did it. We’re playing good baseball and right now everybody’s focused on this game and giving it all.”
