Kenneth Dixon Expected To Make NFL Debut On Sunday

BALTMIORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore Ravens rookie RB Kenneth Dixon is expected to make his NFL debut this Sunday.

Dixon has been off the field since August when he was injured during a preseason game. He was pushing forward on a goal-line carry when Lions defensive tackle and former Raven Haloti Ngata hit his lower leg and Dixon fell as trainers ran out to meet him. He had sprained the MCL in his left knee.

Although Terrance West rushed for a career-high 113 yards and a touchdown last week, he'll now face some competition in the backfield with Dixon's return.

With his impending return, fan favorite Justin Forsett was on the inactive list last Sunday and was ultimately cut from the team earlier this week.

Forsett's exit leaves West, Buck Allen and Dixon, a trio that entered the season with a combined 12 NFL starts between them.
