BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Orioles Hall of Famer and current vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson, along with seven other sports personalities, will be inducted into the Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 3.

The Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame has been around since 1956.

A few of the other inductees include:

Louis Carter, a football star at Arundel High School and the University of Maryland, where he led the Terps in rushing from 1972-74. Carter also played four seasons in the NFL with Oakland and Tampa Bay.

Laurie Schwoy, a four-sport star at McDonogh who went on to soccer fame at the University of North Carolina where she helped lead the Tar Heels to three national championships. Schwoy will become the first women's soccer player to be inducted into the MSAHOF.

Jack Thomas, whose 224 points ranks fourth on John Hopkins lacrosse's all-time scoring list despite only playing three years. Thomas was also a three-sport star at Towson High School and helped Hopkins to three straight NCAA finals from 1972-1974.

The John Steadman Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Jim Henneman at Press Box Online. In addition to his writing for PressBox, Henneman has been an MLB official scorer at Orioles games. Henneman also authored the book "Baltimore Orioles: 60 Years of Magic," which was released in 2015.

All seven members of the class will be inducted Nov. 3 at Michael's Eighth Avenue, located at 7220 Grayburn Dr. in Glen Burnie. The dinner and induction ceremony will be held from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased at MDSAHOF.com.
