Ravens Injury Report: Marshal Yanda Unlikely To Play Against The Browns

By Daniel Benjamin

The Baltimore Ravens seem to have been getting healthier over the past few weeks, which is very good news as they finish up their preparations for their Thursday night clash with the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens had no more than six players unable to participate in practice throughout the short week, which is down from 11 last week and 13 prior to their Week 7 game.

Ravens Will Miss Marshal Yanda on TNF

Officially, the Ravens have six players on their injury report with the biggest concern being Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda. Yanda's shoulder is once again giving him problems and he is listed as doubtful as he has not practiced all week. The 32-year-old missed two games prior to the team's bye week with the shoulder injury, but he played the entire game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. If Yanda does indeed miss the game, John Urschel or Ryan Jensen is expected to take his place. Both Urschel and Jensen have started three games apiece this year.

Three Players Listed As Out

The Ravens have already declared three players out for tomorrow's game: Linebacker Elvis Dumervil, tight end Crockett Gillmore and cornerback Shareece Wright. All three players missed last week as well. Dumervil has played in just two games this year, and it is possible that he won't play anymore this season. Wright will miss his third straight contest. While Wright's loss effects the team's depth, it does not have the same impact as the last couple of weeks due to the emergence of rookie corner Tavon Young.

Rookies Kenneth Davis and Kamalei Correa are questionable for the game. Davis left the matchup against the Steelers in the fourth quarter with a chest injury. The 22-year-old running back saw his most extensive action last week, carrying the ball nine times for 13 yards while also catching two passes. He has been a full participant in practice this week, so it would be a huge surprise if he is unable to go.

Correa has appeared in four games, making his first career start in Week 7 against the New York Jets. The reserve inside linebacker has recorded four tackles, one pass defensed and a forced fumble.

Steve Smith Sr. Is Finally Completely Healthy

Smith is finally off the injured list. The 37-year-old injured his ankle during the Ravens' Week 5 game against the Washington Redskins, and he has been on the report ever since, missing two games. He returned to the field against the Steelers, hauling in four passes for 47-yards.

Browns complete injury report

The Browns have listed seven players on their injury report. Five of the players listed on the report practiced all week in some capacity. Left tackle Joe Thomas (knee) missed the first two days of practice, as has been the case for the past several weeks. Thomas has started all nine games this year.

Cornerback Jamar Taylor (groin) is the lone Brown to miss the entire week of practice and will miss tomorrow's game. Taylor has battled the injury the past few weeks, but it must have gotten worse recently because he practiced the other weeks, albeit in a limited capacity. Tramon Williams Sr. will likely take his Taylor's place in the starting lineup.
