Breshad Perriman Talks First Touchdown, Father's Influence & The Fans
Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman's rookie year in 2015 was marred by a partially torn ligament in his right knee. Then, his expected return was delayed by a partially torn ACL in his left knee. But this year, the first round draft pick made his Ravens debut.
During Thursday's victory over the Cleveland Browns, Perriman experienced his first NFL touchdown and said, "I've been working towards that for a long time. Just to get that first one, it felt really good. It's truly a blessing just to get that under my belt. I'm kind of trying to put it behind me, and get a little more hungry and go out full-speed, full throttle and get more and more each week."
Perriman grew up in a football family. Brett Perriman, his father, is a former American football wide receiver in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints, the Detroit Lions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Miami Dolphins. Breshad spoke about his father's influence on the way he plays football saying, "He taught me everything I know. Countless number of days and nights spent working on the little things. He's been giving me a lot of pointers and tips my whole life."
