Manslaughter Verdict For Man Accused In Ocean City Beating

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The man accused of beating a Lutherville man to death in Ocean City this past summer has been found guilty of manslaughter.

Police say the fight happened May 29 at 136th Street and Coastal Highway, and that Ryan Shupert and his friend were involved in a fight with four other men.

Shupert, who was 31, died on May 31 at a hospital in Salisbury.

Darren Beatie, 21, was arrested in early June.

Today he was convicted by a Worcester County Circuit Court jury.
