Naval Academy Welcomes New Mascot, Bill 37

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The U.S. Naval Academy has welcomed a new goat to the mascot herd, Bill 37.

Media outlets report that after the death of Bill 35 due to illness, the Naval Academy decided Bill 36 should have a shipmate next to him on the sidelines to keep morale high.

Bill 37 comes from the same farm as Bill 36 and Bill 35. He was flown from Texas to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, and from there was taken to the goat mascot residence.

According to a statement from the Naval Academy, Bill 37 is acclimating well to Navy life and "is already full of spunk, energy and vitriol toward Army."

Bill 37 will likely make his debut on the sidelines in 2017.
