Woman Released from Hospital After Stabbing 82-Year-Old Grandmother

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 20-year-old Pasadena woman was released from a local hospital Monday after police say she stabbed her grandmother numerous times, in an attempt to "cut the demons out of her."

Savannah Esperson Weaver has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged attack on the 82-year-old.

Anne Arundel County police officers responded to the scene, a home in the 500 block of 2nd Street in Pasadena, around 7:25 a.m. Sunday.

Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim by ambulance to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Weaver, who was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with attempted murder and other related assault charges upon her release.
