The Norris & Long Show Best Of - Week Of December 3rd
This week's edition of The Norris & Long Show Best Of includes interviews with Clifton Brown of Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic on the Ravens win over the Bengals, and Maryland Terrapins basketball color analyst Chris Knoche on the Terps first loss of the season.
CLIFTON BROWN
Cliff joined Ed and Rob to talk about the Ravens win over the Bengals and to look ahead to a match-up with the Dolphins.
Cliff started by talking about the Ravens win over the Bengals and how well the defense played saying "the defense as it has been doing all year made some big plays...Suggs with the torn biceps deserves a lot of credit for making big plays at big times." As for the offense and if he is surprised the Ravens haven't been able to get the ball to Wallace and Perriman regularly Cliff said "we talked about this earlier in the year that I don't think the Ravens have identified week in and week out a go to guy...one week it's Wallace, then it's Pitta or Steve Smith."
Cliff went on to talk about Joe Flacco's awkward slides with the knee brace saying "with his knee brace getting caught in the turf he needs to find another way to go down...he needs to be conscious of it because the last thing you want is to see him hurt himself on a slide and miss some time during these last five weeks."
CHRIS KNOCHE
Chris joined Ed and Rob to talk about the Terps suffering their first loss of the season to Pittsburgh last night.
Chris started by talking about the Terps and whether or not they shot too many three pointers saying "they did have a bunch of open looks, Pittsburgh played zone because they struggled to match up man to man, they thought it would stop Melo Trimble...they hit some threes early which is always fools gold."
When asked about a young Terps team keeping the game close Chris said "I don't take a whole lot of consolation in staying close and neither does Mark Turgeon...I think the thing that I sort of take away from it they simply don't lose much at home and any time you let a home game get away you always lament what could have been."
