Police Seek Suspect In Fatal Daytime Stabbing In Glen Burnie

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 28-year-old woman is dead after a deadly daytime stabbing on Mountain Road in Glen Burnie Monday.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, officers responded to 144 Mountain Road around 1:53 p.m. for a report of two women fighting. When they arrived they found Ikea Nicole Jackson lying outside.

The fire department transported her to Baltimore Washington Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.

Anne Arundel County Homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate this death as an apparent homicide.

A suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 to 6-foot tall woman with a heavy build, short, dark hair and wearing a large white coat.

Jackson's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Northern Patrol Units secured the scene as homicide detectives and evidence technicians checked the area for items of evidentiary value. Detectives canvassed the area and interviewed witnesses and are piecing together the chain of events that led to Jackson's death.

At this time, detectives are attempting to determine the motive for this assault and to speak with persons known to the victim. There are no similar incidents that have occurred in the area.
