Anne Arundel police say  they were able to conduct several interviews with witnesses that had information related to the murder of Jackson and were able to identify 37-year-old Tashaya Raeshon Turner. Police say their investigation revealed Jackson's murder as a targeted crime and not a random act of violence.

Anne Arundel police say that Homicide detectives secured an arrest warrant charging Tashaya Turner on Tuesday, December 6, with First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure, along with First and Second Degree Assault in relation to the death of Jackson.

Police executed a search warrant yesterday, Wednesday, December 7, and took Tashaya Turner into custody without incident. She is currently being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on a no bond status.
