Police: Man Wanted For Kidnapping And Attempted Robbery

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore County Police are looking for a man who they say held up a woman at gunpoint, and forced her to drive away to get him money with two young children in the car on Monday, November 5. Police say the man is wanted for kidnapping and attempted robbery.

Police say at around 7:30 p.m. a 34-year-old woman was in the parking lot of the Babies-R-Us in the Towson Place Shopping Center on Putty Hill Avenue. She was putting her one-year-old daughter and two-month-old son into her car when the suspect approached her.

Police say the man told the woman that he had a gun and threatened to shoot her if she screamed. The suspect told the victim to get in the car and they drove from the parking lot.

As they drove away, police say the suspect told the woman to go to the bank. However, she told him that her wife, who was still at the shopping center, had all of her credit cards. Police say the suspect had her to drive back to the parking lot where they waited for the woman's wife.

When the woman's wife came up to the vehicle, the woman told her that the suspect needed money. In the end, the suspect then became involved in an altercation with the woman's wife, but then later ran away without taking anything, and  no one was seriously hurt.

Detectives have a composite sketch of the suspect, which they hope will help people identify him.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
