Man And His 4-Year-Old Son Struck By SUV While Sledding

LINEBORO, Md. (WJZ) -- A man and his four-year-old son were struck by an SUV while sledding in Carroll County on Saturday.

The two sustained serious injuries from the impact.

Deputies say 35-year-old Adam French and his young son were visiting relatives in the 3200 block of Lineboro Road when the two went sledding down a driveway and entered the roadway. They were struck by a Jeep Cherokee.

French was taken to Shock Trauma with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The four-year-old is said to be in critical condition.

The driver of the Jeep and his passenger were not injured in the collision.

Charges are not expected to be filed.
