1 Found Dead in Overturned Car on Icy Pond in Maryland
BOWIE, Md. (WJZ/AP) — Officials say one person has been found dead inside an overturned car in an icy pond in Prince George's County.
The Prince George's County Fire Department says the Honda Accord was found in a water retention pond in Bowie on Saturday around 8 a.m. The collision happened at eastbound Route 50 at exit 197.
The department says Ibrahim Sow, 29, was found dead in the car.
Investigators believe driver impairment might have contributed to the collision.
