Joe Flacco Shows Support For Todd Heap & Family, After Daughter's Tragic Death
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Ravens held an off-season workout on Wednesday. It was the first time members of the team have been available since last weekend's tragic accident in Arizona with former Raven Todd Heap.
Police say Heap accidentally backed his truck over his 3-year-old daughter, killing her.
Joe Flacco spoke following the workout about his friend and his need to help.
"I'm going to go there tomorrow and hopefully, spend some time with them, and maybe be a little bit of a distraction in this time. I have kids myself and know that it was a tragic accident. He's a friend and me and my wife want to be there for them."
Todd Heap played with the Ravens for 10 seasons. His daughter's funeral is this weekend. Police again say it was a tragic accident and no charges are expected.
