Police Searching For Man Suspected Of Robbing Pharmacies

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A brazen robbery suspect is accused of targeting local pharmacies.

Police are on the hunt for a suspect they say is targeting pharmacies in our area. So far he's linked to three recent armed robberies in Baltimore and Howard County.

Police say the suspect is so brazen he may have robbed the same pharmacy, twice.

Surveillance cameras catch the suspect in action, as he walks into the pharmacy with his gun drawn.
Still pointing his weapon at employees, he demands and gets away with a stash of prescription medication.

Police tell WJZ, the suspect robbed the Med One Pharmacy in Woodbine back on April 12. This same exact pharmacy was robbed in February, investigators say the two may be connected.

The suspect is described as tall, thin with long gray hair which he wears in a ponytail.

"At this point, we know that he is involved in three, the two in Howard county and the one in Baltimore County," says Jen Peach, Baltimore County Police spokeswoman.

No one has been injured in any of the robberies, but police consider the suspect armed and dangerous.

According to police, the armed suspect walked behind the counter at Nature Care Pharmacy on Main Street in Reisterstown back on March 25, again, stealing pharmaceuticals at gunpoint.

He was seen getting away on foot toward Village Center Road.

People in that community say it's the last place they'd expect this type of crime.

"Very surprising to me. It's a very quiet little area up here. I come up to this store quite often. We come to the gas station and it surprised me that something happened," says customer Tom Martin.

"It's a secure building. You have to buzz to get in so I feel confident that it's going to be okay," says customer Anita McComas.

There was also a recent pharmacy robbery in Montgomery County, however, police say they don't think this suspect was involved in that incident.

If you recognize the suspect or have any information about these pharmacy robberies, you're urged to contact police.
