President Trump Reflects On 100 Days In Office

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- On his 100th day in office Saturday, President Donald Trump sat down with CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent and host of Face the Nation, John Dickerson.

During the exclusive interview, Trump explains how he thinks his administration is doing so far.

The interview covered all of the tough issues the administration is facing. President trump admits running the country, is a tough job.

President Donald Trump has been leading the nation for months. Saturday marked his 100th day in office.

On that very day, he and CBS News' John Dickerson sat down in the Roosevelt room at the white house. The growing tension with North Korea and it's young leader Kim Jong-Un taking center stage:

"I would not be happy if he does a nuclear test. I will not be happy. And I can tell you also. I don't believe that the president of china who is a very respected man will be happy either. Not happy mean military action? I don't know. I mean, we'll see."

President Trump did not mince words during the wide-ranging interview:

"Look where the democrats have ended up. Hey John. They had everything going. Now they don't have the presidency. They don't have the house. They don't have the senate. And Schumer is going around making a fool out of himself."

Trump still wants to follow through on his promise to repeal and replace Obamacare, despite concerns that healthcare will become unaffordable.

"Forget unaffordable. What's unaffordable is Obamacare. So I'm not hearing you say Mr. President say there's a guarantee for pre-existing conditions. We actually have a clause that guarantees."

The president says he's still under audit can't release his tax returns:

"I think it's pretty routine, to be honest with you. But then I'll make a decision."

The early days of the Trump administration may be marked by executive orders on travel bans and court battles, but he's looking ahead.

"It's a tough job but I've had a lot of tough jobs. I've had things that were tougher. Although I'll let you know that better at the end of 8 years," he says.

This was just the first part of the interview. They didn't really touch on the border wall with Mexico.
That may be something to look out for in part two. The second part will air during CBS this morning.
