D.C. Emergency Personnel Save Ducklings From Storm Drain

BALTIMORE (WJZ) - Emergency crews make an adorable rescue Monday, saving a family of ducklings that fell into a D.C. storm drain.

The incident happened around 5:30 on 12th Street and Maine Avenue. A total of eight ducklings had fallen into the storm drain and their mother waited eagerly nearby.

 

According to the Washington Post, D.C. police, Animal Control , D.C. Water and Sewer Authority and the D.C. Fire Department were able to work together to get all the ducklings out safely within an hour.

The ducks were reunited with the mother duck and taken down to a nearby water bed.
