Looks like soaking rain is on the way. The bad news. The good news is this..it is expected. The forecast is showing big consistency. (In the past I have written that “consistency” is the key to a forecast.) The rain, albeit heavy at times, will be getting out of here in quick order later Saturday, and certianly by dawns first light on Sunday. We will be getting some good clearing Sunday around lunchtime. And I think the afternoon of Mother’s Day will turn out nice. And then here comes summerlike temps.
The normal daytime high Preakness week is 74°. We are looking at 80, and the mid 80’s, as we move into midweek next week. Sky conditions sunny for sure. Remember this is through mid-week, the rest of the week’s outlook will become apparent by the end of this weekend. But I am holding out hope for some “chamber of commerce” conditions for the big weekend coming up!
In the meantime, get that umbrella out. Big time!
T.G.I.F., …..ain’t it the truth!
