Neal Stevenson Hall faces charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment for the shooting of a 16-year-old on May 15.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office reports the shooting happened just after 5 p.m., near Emmanuel Alliance Church, located in the 7100 block of Ladd Lane in Frederick.

Responding deputies found a 16-year-old who had been shot in the leg, who was treated at a hospital and later released.

The investigation found that the victim and three others were near the church, when someone began shooting at them.

Authorities searched the scene, but were unable to find the shooter at that time.
