Weather Blog: Showers, Thunderstorms Move Through Area

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Showers and thunderstorms across the region late Friday afternoon have lingered into the late evening, as a cool front crosses the region.

Much cooler and much drier air will move our way for the weekend.

We expect partly sunny skies and a temperature of around 70 for the Preakness this year!

Even cooler air is on tap for Sunday, and we should only reach the mid to upper 60s!

Next rain chance comes Sunday night into Monday.
