Baltimore Journalist, White House Correspondent April Ryan Honored

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The National Association of Black Journalists named Baltimore's April Ryan as the 2017 journalist of the year. A celebration was held today at Maryland Public Television.

The veteran White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks and a CNN political analyst will be honored in august at the NABJ convention in New Orleans.

The Baltimore County resident made headlines this year following exchanges with President Trump and Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
