Man Imprisoned For Setting Co-Workers On Fire Now Charged With Homicide

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore County man who pleaded guilty to setting two men on fire has now been charged with homicide after both victims have now died.

Christopher Harrison Jr. had pleaded guilty to charges related to setting David Benjamin Campbell and Shawn Michael Scarinzi on fire back on December 4, 2015.

He has already been sentenced to 25 years in prison on first-degree assault and reckless endangerment charges, but now faces homicide charges.

Campbell died back on January 17, 2017, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Scarinzi died from his injuries Monday morning. Scarinzi's body has been sent for autopsy.

Investigators say four men left work at a local business in two different cars. When one car broke down on Pulaski Highway near Allender Rd., the co-workers went to the White Marsh truck stop for fuel. As they were walking back, they started arguing and fighting.

Harrison doused Campbell with gasoline, then set him on fire.

Campbell--on fire and in a panic--bumped into Scariazi, who was also carrying gas, which set him on fire.
