Suspect Injured In Officer-Involved Shooting; 3 Others Arrested

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- City police are investigating an officer-involved shooting the occurred in the area of 1600 Elmtree Street in Curtis Bay Park.

Around 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, two police officers saw a man, 23, who they believed to have a gun and approached him when a foot pursuit ensued.

Police spokesman T. J. Smith says the suspect did have a gun and fired at officers as they fired back.

The man, who was shot, fled through the park and through an alley where he fled into a car.

Smith says another three suspects helped drive the 23 year old to Harbor Hospital 10 minutes later because they were notified from the hospital of a walk-in shooting victim.

The suspect was then taken to Shock Trauma where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspects who drove the suspect to the hospital were also arrested.
