We have a rather nice, quiet period of weather through Monday. We’ll see the chance for a few flurries in the city this evening, but they won’t amount to anything.
Expect a day with more clouds than sun with temperatures 10-15 degrees below average. Such has been the trend this month, as Baltimore currently sits at a -3.4 F temperature departure from normal.
We’ve got one more storm Monday night into Tuesday morning to get through in this very active winter pattern and then we get a well deserved break!
Models show a disturbance moving through the Southeast U.S. and the strongest winds west of the system.
After a truly amazing, unforgettable storm has left much of the Greater Baltimore Area with around a foot of snow, we’re noticing that the sky has cleared rapidly early Friday morning.
Coming to you from the home office Thursday afternoon. We were just too busy during our coverage of this snow to stop and breathe, much less blog. But I did want to touch base, and roll out a few thoughts.
The snow is falling! First traces of precipitation arrived around 7 p.m. Wednesday. It can get heavy at times overnight.
The good news is that the forecast is showing BIG consistency, and we should not see any real surprises with this storm. Still looking for a start Wednesday between 7 and 11 p.m. Still looking for an end late Thursday afternoon.
Well, in about 30 hours we expect to see snow breaking out across the region as an area of low pressure comes up the eastern seaboard.
Here is the bottom line. It will begin to snow Wednesday night between 8-Midnight. Snow will end later Thursday afternoon. We will clean up Friday, and have the weekend we deserve.
