Maryland could potentially see severe weather Sunday.
TGIF! That’s what I am talking about! Looks like a GREAT day and night. Mild, low humidity and gentle breezes. Don’t ya just love it when a plan comes together?
Summertime fronts aren’t known for being really “swift-moving,” and this one is being slowed by a ripple of low pressure that has developed along it.
It’s going to be beautiful before not too long. Even as I write this the winds have shifted out of the northwest. That will be a big dome of high pressure filtering into the mid-Atlantic.
Today will be a hotter and more humid day across Maryland as a southwesterly wind pumps in the sticky air.
Warm and humid this day start. Hot and humid later. Also later on we will watch for rain/t-storms in the area.
Just cut and paste Monday onto Tuesday. The forecast has the same look and feel. Same mention, not an obsession of a late day t-storm.
High pressure will slowly drift east over the next 24+ hours and as it moves, we will be on the lookout for a few isolated thunderstorms through Tuesday (mainly north and west of the the metropolitan).
I hope ya had a good weekend. Weather-wise, Sunday was kind of bla, and that will continue Monday and Tuesday.
After topping out below average for the past few days… we will be returning to more summer-like weather during the upcoming week.
