More clouds than sun will be the name of the game for the rest of Tuesday and Wednesday as temps continue to trend mild. We will top out Tuesday with highs in the mid/upper 50s and then low 60s for Wednesday.
Clouds have been on the increase throughout the afternoon Monday with skies sitting mostly cloudy to overcast across the region.
We maxed out Sunday around 56 degrees at the airport… that’s much cooler than our high on Saturday of 68 degrees. Cooler air has moved in and it is only going to continue to get chillier!
Based on satellite trends it will be rather cloudy at times Sunday morning before clouds break for sunshine in the afternoon.
The month of November got off to a mild and wild start Friday as a squall line of brief heavy rain and strong wind crossed the area in advance of a cold front. Despite the passage of that front, the temperature Saturday has been running above average with highs in a lot of spots topping out in the upper 60s. But things are about to change.
We have another day of above normal temperatures Saturday, then the coldest air so far this season will come
in for Sunday and Monday.
A narrow line of heavy rain and gusty wind crossed the area Friday morning and is heading off to the east. Despite lack of lightning, it did trigger the issuance of some watches and warnings for parts of the area.
The day is getting off to a rather mild start, but we are also looking at plenty of clouds and patchy fog for a while. The temperature should reach the lower 70s Thursday afternoon, and there will probably be a stray, passing shower before the day is through.
The best time for the shower looks to be Wednesday morning as the short wave moves through. High temperatures Wednesday will depend on how much sun can break through the clouds.
After a pleasant weekend across much of the Eastern Region, the new work week is off to a great start as well.
High pressure will continue to build in overnight, bringing us mostly clear skies and cool temps with lows forecast in the mid 30s.
