The chilly air looks to continue for Saturday as temperatures are still cooler than normal and sunny conditions persist.

As many eyes along the East Coast remain focused on “Arthur” Thursday, (especially in the Southeast), there will be a few showers and thunderstorms in the Mid-Atlantic states and the Northeast which may result in flash flooding.
A heat advisory will be in effect today from noon until 7 p.m. — strong thunderstorms through tomorrow night can produce torrential rain and ” Arthur” will bring some ought surf and strong rip currents to the Atlantic Beaches through the Independence Day Holiday.

Well, life is getting active on the weather front this week as a slow-moving cold front is trying to bust through. A hot and humid air mass will give us a chance of widespread thunderstorms Tuesday-Thursday.
An area of high pressure is currently located over eastern New England and will slowly drift eastward by Monday morning.
