Looks to me like most of those who have improved with age are shown with much more attractive makeup, hair, better lighting, etc. or have had cosmetic surgery. Beautiful people all, but most people look better with makeup and better lighting and most people who can afford cosmetic surgery, provided not too radical, will look better.

Not much changed. They all have money now. So they can afford spray tans, make-up artists, personal assistants, hairdressers, personal trainers…..shall I go on?
