Wow. the 2013 Baltimore Orioles season flew by. Bob Haynie recalls the 2013 season and wishes we were still watching the Birds.
After another winning season, the Orioles front office has many issues to address. Buck Showalter and VP Dan Duquette will certainly be busy and have many important decisions ahead of them.
A Tuesday night, 3-2, 10-inning defeat to the Blue Jays, their sixth-straight loss, mathematically eliminated the Birds from postseason competition.
Breaking news: Orioles third baseman Manny Machado was taken off the field in Tampa on a stretcher minutes ago after hurting his left knee while trying to beat out a single in the 7th inning.
On a night in which they committed three errors, their starting pitcher walked six in five innings and they went 0 for 6 with runners in scoring position, the Baltimore Orioles still managed to earn a monumental 3-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
The second wild-card spot is up for grabs. The Orioles and Yankees are battling each other, while the Rays are still up but slumping and Cleveland is giving everyone a run for their money.
Well, getting drilled by the Red Sox 13-2 is not exactly how the Baltimore Orioles needed to start their big nine-game road trip.
The competition is tighter than ever, especially in the American League. The playoff pushes and pennant races are locked and loaded. Here we go!
Rich Dubroff joined Bob Haynie to talk Baltimore Orioles as the Birds hit the road for a big nine-game trek through Boston , New York and Cleveland.
The Orioles begin what could be a “decisive road trip” this week, being just two games out of the second wild card spot chasing Tampa Bay and Oakland.
If you are a contending team, all series at this point in the season are big ones. For the Baltimore Orioles, that is certainly the case for this week.
Matt Yallof of the MLB Network joined Zinno on “Last Call” to talk some of the bigger baseball headlines and the Orioles chances at the post-season.
