Andrew Bogusch of The John Feinstein Show on the CBS Sports Network joined Glenn and Bob on Sports Rehab to give the national perspective on the Ray Rice suspension story.
“I think Cincinnati is the best team in the division, but for some reason the Ravens and Steelers have their number, and they seem to have a psychological advantage over the Bengals each time they play,” Wilcots added.
The Ravens may have that advantage on the field, but off it, there have been some issues. In regards to Ray Rice’s situation, Wilcots made a point that most Ravens fans have expressed in the last several days.
The light suspension handed down by Roger Goodell has been widely criticized as a slap on the wrist. Scott Garceau talks about what that means for Rice.
Brent Harris of Comcast Sportsnet joined Glenn and Bob on Sports Rehab to discuss the opening of Ravens training camp and the announcement the Ray Rice suspension.
Finally after weeks of waiting and antsy fans, the word comes out that Ray Rice is suspended for two games. Just TWO GAMES. All of the NFL analysts have been thinking that he would be suspended for four games. Rice and the Ravens are pretty lucky.
“I think the Ravens will definitely contend for a wild card spot in the AFC, but I don’t think the team is good enough to win the division,” said Kostos. “I know the Cincinnati Bengals made an impression last year, but I actually think the Steelers are winning the division.”
“I think the Steelers are flat out better than Baltimore, and I think the Bengals are slightly better as well,” Kostos claimed. “That leaves the Ravens on the outside looking in.”
Some information on the Ravens, Hernandez spoke to the guys mainly about the Smiths, Torrey and Steve. According to Hernandez, “Steve Smith will probably not put up the numbers as he did in Carolina.” Steve will most likely be used to take some attention off of Torrey, don’t rule him out though! Steve Smith will most likely do some nice things this season.

Another Cleveland Brown in the news, of course, Johnny Manziel with the picture of the quarterback with a rolled up dollar bill in a bathroom. Of course you can not tell if there is any drugs in the bathroom, it caused controversy for the young athlete. People seem to want to get this kid in trouble or maybe trouble is following him. Pictures are coming left and right of Manziel. Hopefully there was no drug use for Manziel.
