“I think the Ravens will definitely contend for a wild card spot in the AFC, but I don’t think the team is good enough to win the division,” said Kostos. “I know the Cincinnati Bengals made an impression last year, but I actually think the Steelers are winning the division.”
“I think the Steelers are flat out better than Baltimore, and I think the Bengals are slightly better as well,” Kostos claimed. “That leaves the Ravens on the outside looking in.”
“The NFL has this rule that prevents suspended players from entering the teams’ facilities. To me, that is ridiculous. Use your league for good, not to hinder someone’s progress. Let him be around the guys,” said Nagler.
Our intern, Ben, takes a look at the Ravens’ defensive front 7, why it’s important and why it’s better than what we thought we had last year.
Another Cleveland Brown in the news, of course, Johnny Manziel with the picture of the quarterback with a rolled up dollar bill in a bathroom. Of course you can not tell if there is any drugs in the bathroom, it caused controversy for the young athlete. People seem to want to get this kid in trouble or maybe trouble is following him. Pictures are coming left and right of Manziel. Hopefully there was no drug use for Manziel.
“I think this is a great thing for Gary Kubiak in terms of re energizing.” Charles said on Gary Kubiak coming to Baltimore. “Coaches always say this: ‘Now I’m back to coaching. I’m back to being on the field’ back to doing what they really love, so I think this is a good thing.”
On the offense side, it will be interesting especially for the running backs. We will most likely here about Ray Rice’s suspension in the next week or so. Although we are still waiting to hear about Rice’s future, we still have young and talented running backs including Bernard Pierce and rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro.
Another talented played, Brandon Flowers, was cut from the Chiefs. It is highly doubtful that he will unemployed for long. Apparently two teams, the Ravens and the Vikings are both interested in him. He will be back, somewhere just not with the Chiefs.
The Broncos and Patriots are the Yankees and Red Sox of the NFL. Both the teams in the AFC Championship game were aggressive and ruthless.
Really, should we be surprised that the Ravens didn’t dive head first into free agency? Not if you’ve been paying attention for 18 years.
It’s not as toxic a topic as the New York/New Jersey border war, or as socially inflamed as the Richard Sherman saga. But, in a strictly sporting sense, it really is the topic du jour. If he wins Sunday’s Super Bowl, is Peyton Manning the greatest quarterback in NFL history?
Don’t assume that because they didn’t play much in 2013, that the rookies turned second year players might not have some great players among them.
Being the sixth and final seed in the NFL playoffs usually means you’re a sizable underdog. When it comes to the San Diego Chargers, that holds true a second weekend straight.
