Injury Report: Green’s Status Key To Bengals’ Chances On Sunday Against Colts

Arguably the Cincinnati Bengals’ best player, wide receiver A.J. Green is iffy for Sunday’s playoff game in Indianapolis against the Colts. He didn’t practice on Friday and hasn’t cleared the league’s concussion protocol after suffering the injury in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Green can’t go, the pressure might double for the Bengals to win their first postseason contest since 1990.

Bengals Need To Win Sunday To Shed “Playoff Losers” Label

The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t won an NFL playoff game since January 6, 1990. They beat the Houston Oilers—right there, that tells you it was a long time ago—by a 41-14 score in the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs. Since then, the Bengals have lost all five postseason contests they’ve played in. That needs to change this weekend.

The home office knows Sunday night’s blowout in Green Bay was the lowest rated of the season for NBC’s Sunday night package. Can’t blame people for tuning out, Chicago was down 42-0 at halftime that’s the largest halftime deficit EVER for an NFL game in primetime.

Thursday Night Football Breakdown: Indianapolis Colts At Houston Texans

Could this be it-the first competitive Thursday night game of the 2014 NFL season? The Colts visit Houston as just a three-point favorite, and both teams are 3-2, so at the risk of being the Mary Swanson to your Lloyd Christmas, I’m saying there’s a chance.

The Ravens will go back to work after an impressive victory against Carolina. They now turn their attention to the Indianapolis Colts.
