Federal investigators believe more than half of the corrections officers at the Baltimore City jail helped inmates smuggle in contraband. A new set of officers has just been indicted.
Federal authorities have charged 19 people — 14 of them corrections officers– in connection with the Black Guerrilla Family case at the Baltimore City Detention Center. The new indictment, unsealed Thursday, alleges that the officers aided Black Guerrilla Family members in smuggling prescription pills, marijuana and cell phones inside the jail walls.
