High pressure will continue to nose southward along the East Coast, giving us a
stretch of dry and stable weather for today.
Current surface map shows a low pressure over western Pennsylvania with the back door cold front stretching through central VA down into northwest NC.
With high pressure in place, the region will remain dry this afternoon.
Here we are… it is August 18th and so far we have not had one 90° day this month!
A cold front approaching the region from the northwest has helped to spread some clouds into parts of the area which is resulting in temperatures that are several degrees milder than last night.

It has been a day of wild weather to say the least! We had the perfect set-up today for heavy rain with a very juicy air mass along with high dewpoints and p-wat values.

An area of high pressure over the Great Lakes is going to keep our weather dry over the next couple of days.
