It’s deadline day, which in the past has meant blockbuster deals. Let’s look at some of the best and worst.
Whatever the Orioles are thinking, they are going to make one and they need an upgrade. Miguel Gonzales has also been up in the air to trade from the Orioles. Although Britton has been doing well, neither him or Ryan Webb may not be the answer for the Oriole, pitching wise. Orioles should probably look into a left handed pitcher. Some names thrown out there: Mike Dunn, from Miami Marlins, and Brad Ziegler, from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Whatever it is, a lefty would be great but the O’s are not going to give up Gausman or Bundy.
With the MLB trade deadline just two weeks away, it’s time to see who could potentially be on the move in late July.
Staying within the AL East, Neyer pointed out the glaring gap in the Orioles’ roster—one that many speculate they might trade for to find a solution.
“The Orioles are like every other team in the division–they’re flawed. Not fatally, because of the division they’re in, but they need an ace [pitcher] badly.”
Would David Price fit well with the Orioles? Looks like the Orioles are kind of interested in him but still are not sure. “Price should be going somewhere,” says Todd. Price is definitely an impact player that a lot of teams could use.
