The holiday weekend has gotten off to a fabulous start, and it will only get better from here on out!
High pressure has provided us with a beautiful stretch of weather but will slowly begin moving offshore Sunday.
There will be high clouds and some mid clouds Sunday as high pressure slides to our east and some of the moisture coming out well in advance of the next storm system streaks northeastward.

After morning low clouds and fog, hazy sunshine dominated the afternoon. It also made for a beautiful sunset. Temperatures topped out right around the average of 50 degrees. Even though we have more clouds moving our way, we also have warmer air coming.
We have had clouds for days, but the rainfall deficit continues to grow because there hasn’t been much rain with the clouds.
After an upper-level feature (some people may call it a secondary cold front or a trough) moves through the region this morning, high pressure begins to build in and it will last through tomorrow
Rain overspreads the area this morning and continues into the afternoon – most of the rain will be light– totaling 0.20-0.40 in most places. Patchy fog will occur in the damp air.
A large ridge of high pressure is still dominating the eastern weather scene early today, bringing a mainly clear sky and yielding temperatures mostly in the 30s and 40s.
Although it was another chilly day, we made it into the 50s. We officially topped out at 51 degrees this afternoon. We all know that it’s been chilly lately, but wait until you hear some of these stats.
The weekend will start off on a pretty good note with a mix of sun and clouds with most shower activity staying to the south.
The clouds are pretty much in and it should be mostly cloudy for the balance of the day with some rain getting in later on. The rest of the forecast looks good; I don’t have any changes right now.
