From the Front Lines
Well everyone, my time in Baghdad has come near its end. We are re-deploying home soon and I couldn’t be more excited. Our mission here is complete and we will be headed back to the Charm City very shortly.
I hope that your summer is treating you well! We are pressing on here in searing temperatures at times. We have topped out at 119 degrees several times here, but have yet to break that 120 mark. I’m kind of disappointed! HAHA!
I hope that everyone got to enjoy their 4th of July holiday. It is definitely one of my favorite holidays … the summer, the weather, the cookouts and all. It is just a great time. I was a little sad that I wasn’t able to enjoy all those things this year, but we did have our own celebration here, mild as it may be!

Hello all of my friends! I can’t tell you how much I miss you all! Things in Baghdad are starting to heat up, in more ways than one! It is already 100 degrees here in Iraq. I don’t mind … I like the heat. Yes, even this heat.
Hello everyone! Sorry it’s been so long but I have been busy. I have gotten out a bunch as of late to see Iraq all over again, which has been exciting for me. Just seeing what things look like 5 years later.

Hello my friends! Soon we will head north into Baghdad to get things rolling. We are all pretty excited to start what I think will be an amazing journey.
Hey folks! Fort Dix, NJ is starting to turn into a nice place … well, not really, but it’s home for us and we are doing the best we can and having fun. The training for my unit is starting to wind down.
Hello again everyone!! Training continues at Fort Dix, NJ. Much like the rest of Maryland, we have had our fair share of snow here, which has slowed things down a little, but not terribly. All this cold weather actually makes us look forward to the idea of sunny Baghdad!!
