What a great, GREAT, week it will be weather-wise.
TGIF! That’s what I am talking about! Looks like a GREAT day and night. Mild, low humidity and gentle breezes. Don’t ya just love it when a plan comes together?
It’s going to be beautiful before not too long. Even as I write this the winds have shifted out of the northwest. That will be a big dome of high pressure filtering into the mid-Atlantic.
High pressure will slowly drift east over the next 24+ hours and as it moves, we will be on the lookout for a few isolated thunderstorms through Tuesday (mainly north and west of the the metropolitan).
There were bad storms Tuesday night. Bad. Wednesday, it is a completely different dynamic for t-storms later on.
It is a gorgeous summer day in Baltimore!
Friday should be even nicer than Thursday was as a high-pressure system builds into the Eastern region during the next 24 hours.
Strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures have prompted Fire Weather Warning and Watches in several Maryland counties.
A largely dry cold front has begun to move through the region.
Satellite loop suggests that much of the area will see more clouds than sun Thursday afternoon, so we have gone that direction with the forecast.
The pleasant weather with ample sunshine and low humidity will yield to increased humidity and higher chances for thunderstorms this week.
Another sticky morning with more sun than Wednesday has allowed temperatures to be a bit warmer.
