A state of emergency is in effect as a major snowstorm arrives in Maryland. It could be the biggest storm of the season.
The cold winter weather has already created a number of dangerous situations, including two boys trapped on a floating slab of ice in Anne Arundel County. WJZ now has the 911 calls made by the two teens after they walked out onto a frozen patch of the Magothy River and were unable to make it back to shore.
Here is the bottom line. It will begin to snow Wednesday night between 8-Midnight. Snow will end later Thursday afternoon. We will clean up Friday, and have the weekend we deserve.
As temperatures go down, the danger on frozen waterways goes up.
